In my time as Product Lead at OpenSauced I helped grow the platform from a proof of concept to a full fledged insights platform.
Our mission
At OpenSauced we wanted to provide better insights into open source projects for contributors, maintainers and OSPOs in the OSS ecosystem.
Our main goal was to go beyond some of the “typical” vanity metrics thrown around in the open source world (*ehem… Stars), and give users the tools to understand their projects’ health, growth and sustainability.
Even further, we wanted to build a hub for the OSS ecosystem to connect — a place for contributors to find meaningful work, and connect maintainers to their next key collaborators, keeping the lifeline of open source projects alive.
